Jen + Jeremy: Cork Factory Hotel – Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Jen and Jeremy were married in the Historic Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster, PA. I felt extremely honored to travel across the country and document their wedding celebration!

Although it’s difficult to pinpoint my favorite part of the day, there was one very special moment that was a defining moment for me as a photographer.  While I was photographing Jen and her bridesmaids as they got ready before the ceremony, Jen began to tie their wedding bands to the pillow that would carry the rings during the ceremony. As she did so, I asked how Jeremy proposed. When she started telling the story, her face lit up. The pillow sat on her lap as she became more and more animated — sharing with me the details of their love story and engagement. She explained what is known as the “String Theory”, which was an integral part of their proposal. This theory was even incorporated into the small details of their wedding! While I can’t give the whole theory the justice it deserves, it is essentially the idea that an invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle but will never break. In the end, the man and woman find not only each other, but true love.

The photos I took of that moment are my favorite from the entire day. They represent everything I aim to do on a wedding day; capture the emotional and candid moments that represent a couple’s love. True love should be celebrated with family and friends, and Jen and Jeremy’s wedding did just that.

So here’s to you Jen and Jeremy…thank you for sharing your love story with me and allowing me to document your special day. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!

That special moment I mentioned earlier…

Jen and Jeremy placed a graphic representation of the “String Theory” at each table setting…a unique detail that I adored!

Another unique detail from this wedding was the use of Jenga blocks as a sign-in for guests.

I’m happy to report that by the end of the night, there was a very tall tower of well-wishing notes from friends and family!

And lastly, I want to give credit to all the creative geniuses behind this exquisite wedding:
